Older than the dust
16 For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him.

Proverbs 8:26
26 before He made the land or fields, or any of the dust of the earth.
Have you ever sat in a biology or geology class and felt overwhelmed by the age and size of the physical earth? Some secular textbooks may present physical matter as the ultimate reality in the universe. They may suggest that we are random products of the dust. This can make your academic journey feel pointless and disconnected from faith. However, Proverbs 8:26 gives us a clear word of truth. It declares that God's wisdom existed before the earth, before the fields, and even before the first particles of dust were formed. The physical world is not the ultimate reality. The invisible, beautiful wisdom of God is the true ultimate reality. When you are working through your science textbooks, remember that you are studying the dust God organized with wisdom. This changes everything. It means your science classes can become opportunities for worship. You are discovering the fingerprints of the Creator. It also keeps you humble. Your brain is made of that same dust, dependent on God's breath for every thought. Prioritize His ancient, spiritual wisdom above every earthly degree.

Prayer Point
Lord, thank You for creating the physical world and giving me a mind to study it. Please keep me humble, remembering that I am made of dust. Help me prioritize Your eternal wisdom above all my earthly studies today.
Reflection Point
How does knowing that wisdom is older than the physical universe change the way you value your time? Are you spending too much time worrying about the dust of earthly success and ignoring the eternal wisdom of God's Word?
