12 “Do not be afraid, Daniel,” he said, “for from the first day that you purposed to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.
Imagine the burden Daniel carried. He was an elderly man fasting from comfort, praying intensely, and seeking understanding for three full weeks. Day after day, there was no visible answer. No vision. No angel. Only silence. It is easy to feel that way in your academic life. You study for hours. You go to the tutoring center. You ask God to help you understand the material. Yet when you look at the practice exam, you still feel confused. You may wonder if God is ignoring your prayers for wisdom. But Daniel 10:12 pulls back the curtain. The angel told Daniel that from the first day he purposed to understand and humbled himself before God, his words were heard. The delay was not denial. The answer was already moving, even though Daniel could not see it. When you humble yourself and pray over your studies, trust that God hears you. He may give clarity immediately, or He may teach you perseverance through continued study. You may not feel the breakthrough for several days or weeks. Keep praying. Keep reading. Keep asking questions. Do not quit the class. The God who heard Daniel on the first day still hears His children today.
