The joyful craftsman

30 Then I was a skilled craftsman at His side, and His delight day by day, rejoicing always in His presence.
Think about a master woodworker in his shop. He does not hate the wood. He does not rush the process or complain about the heavy tools. He loves the smell of the sawdust. He runs his hands over the smooth grain with delight. He is a joyful craftsman. Proverbs 8:30 tells us that God’s wisdom is the ultimate joyful Craftsman. Before the world began, Wisdom was at God's side, joyfully designing the universe. Unfortunately, many students treat their education like a prison sentence. They hate textbooks, complain about essays, and dread class. This miserable attitude can hinder learning. If you want academic excellence, change your approach. Ask the Holy Spirit to make you a joyful craftsman. Stop treating assignments as annoying burdens. Start treating them as beautiful raw materials. You are learning to shape ideas, solve problems, and build solutions that can serve the world. When you invite the joy of God into your study space, the dread begins to lift. Your mind becomes sharper, more creative, and more resilient.
