Blessed are those who keep showing up

Daniel 12:12

9 Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Galatians 6:9

Bible Reading

Daniel 12:12

12 Blessed is he who waits and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.

Anyone can start a semester with enthusiasm. The first week of classes is easy. You have fresh notebooks, a new schedule, and high hopes. But the true test of academic character does not happen at the beginning. It happens in the final stretch, when your energy is low and your brain feels tired. Daniel 12:12 speaks to endurance: “Blessed is he who waits and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.” There is a blessing reserved for the one who keeps showing up. The quitter never tastes that joy. When you are in the final weeks of the semester, the temptation to lower your standards can be strong. You may want to do only the bare minimum. You may want to skip the last reading assignment. But God is calling you to keep going. Reach the end with the same integrity you had on the first day. Do not let exhaustion steal your testimony. Lean on the Holy Spirit. If you refuse to quit, the joy of the finish line will outweigh the pain of the process.

Action Point

Identify one class or assignment you have mentally checked out of because the term is almost over. Reengage today. Spend the next hour working on that subject with fresh energy and a determination to finish strong.

Prayer Point

Lord, forgive me for wanting to coast to the finish line. Give me fresh strength for this final stretch. Help me endure the work so I can finish my coursework with excellence and integrity. Amen.

Reflection Point

Will I look back at the end of this degree with blessed satisfaction, or with the regret that I gave up right before the finish line?
