The decree of the successful student

1 King Nebuchadnezzar, To the people of every nation and language who dwell in all the earth: May your prosperity be multiplied. 2 I am pleased to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has performed for me. 3 How great are His signs, how mighty His wonders! His kingdom is an eternal kingdom; His dominion endures from generation to generation.
King Nebuchadnezzar had it all. He stood at the top of Babylon. He was wise, wealthy, and powerful. Yet in these verses, he did not talk about his gold or his armies. He talked about the Most High God. He had learned something crucial: his success was a platform. It was a stage. And the main actor was God. He used his platform to proclaim God’s greatness. As students, we work hard. We pull all-nighters. We stress over finals. When we get an A, we may feel proud. That is understandable. But we must not stop there. We must issue a decree. We must tell our soul and our friends, “God did this.” When we acknowledge the Source, the supply continues. When we cut ourselves off from the Source, the supply dries up. Your academic excellence is a sign. It is a wonder. It is God showing the world what He can do through a yielded mind. Do not hide the sign. Point to Him.

Place a sticky note on your mirror or laptop. Write, “God is the Source of my intellect.” Read it before every study session.
Prayer Point
Father, I glorify You. You are the King of kings. My degree is for Your glory. My mind belongs to You. Let my success declare Your wonders.
