The royal diet of the mind
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things.

Proverbs 8:6
6 Listen, for I speak of noble things, and the opening of my lips will reveal right.
Imagine for a moment that you were hired to tutor a young prince who would one day rule a nation. What kind of books would you give him? What kind of conversations would you have with him? You would not waste his time with silly gossip or trashy magazines. You would feed his mind with the most noble, excellent, and right things you could find. Proverbs 8:6 tells us that this is how God wants to educate you. Wisdom says, "Listen, for I speak of noble things, and the opening of my lips will reveal right." God sees you as a future leader. He views your degree as preparation for a calling. Therefore, He invites you to elevate your intellectual diet. Too many students struggle to get good grades because their minds are filled with mental junk food. They spend hours scrolling through social media and wonder why they cannot focus on a textbook for 20 minutes. If you want to achieve academic excellence, you must change what you are listening to. You must open your ears to right things. Treat your mind like a royal treasury. Protect it from distractions and fill it with truth, accuracy, and noble knowledge.
