The noble student
2 When the righteous flourish, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.

Proverbs 8:16
16 By me princes rule, and all nobles who govern justly.
When your alarm goes off at 6:00 a.m. and a large textbook is waiting for you, it is easy to feel like a slave to the system. You feel like a small, tired cog in a giant university machine. But Proverbs 8:16 shatters that small mindset. Wisdom says, "By me princes rule, and all nobles who govern justly." God does not view you as a slave to your syllabus. He views you as a king or queen in training. You are a future noble of the earth. The intense reading, stressful exams, and exhausting group projects are not meant to torture you. They are training exercises for leadership. You are learning how to process complex data so you can one day make decisions that affect lives. You are learning how to meet strict deadlines so you can one day lead a corporation, hospital, or ministry. But to govern well later, you must learn to govern yourself today. You must establish wise rules over your schedule. You must remove laziness and distraction from your mind. Rise up today and act like the noble God has called you to be. Study with the dignity, focus, and excellence of a future leader.
Action Point
Change your posture and environment today. Clean your desk, sit up straight, and dress well. Treat your next study session as if you are a prince or princess reviewing important documents for your kingdom.
Prayer Point
Father, thank You for the destiny You have planned for my life. Forgive me for having a small, complaining mindset about my studies. Give me the grace to see my education as training for leadership. Help me govern my time and habits with excellence today.
Reflection Point
If you believed that your current degree was preparing you to govern justly in your field, how would it change your attitude toward your most boring class?
