Finding life in the library
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.

Proverbs 8:35
35 For whoever finds me finds life and obtains the favor of the LORD.
Why are you in school? Is it just to get a piece of paper so you can make a lot of money? If that is your only motivation, you will burn out quickly. The late nights, boring reading assignments, and hard exams will drain the life out of you. Proverbs 8:35 offers a higher and more beautiful goal: "For whoever finds me finds life and obtains the favor of the LORD." God wants your education to bring life to your soul. When you sit in the library and dig into your subjects, you are exploring the mind of God. Learning how the universe works, how history unfolds, or how logic is structured should fill you with awe and vitality. Furthermore, when you study with integrity and hard work, you enjoy the smile of God. His favor rests upon you. That favor is more powerful than a perfect GPA. His favor opens the right doors, protects your mental health, and guides you toward the career He designed for you. Stop viewing your homework as a death sentence. It is a treasure map. Grab your pickaxe and start digging. As you hunt for wisdom today, you will find life and the sweet favor of your heavenly Father.
