When the syllabus changes overnight

1 In the second year of his reign, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams that troubled his spirit, and sleep escaped him.
Imagine walking into your hardest class. You prepared for a multiple-choice exam. The professor hands out a blank sheet of paper and says, "Write down the questions I am thinking of, and then answer them." That is what happened in Daniel 2. The wise men of Babylon crashed. They panicked. They complained. They failed. Why? Because they relied on old tricks. They relied on memorized tables and charts. But life gave them a curveball that was not in the textbook. You will face moments like this. A computer crash may delete your paper. A funding source may dry up. A formula you used many times may suddenly fail. The world may scream or give up. But you are not of this world. You have access to the Mind that created the universe. When the assignment feels impossible, it may be an invitation for a miracle. The limit of your natural ability is the starting line for God's supernatural help.
Action Point
Identify the biggest unknown in your studies right now. Is it a career path? A difficult thesis topic? Instead of worrying, write it down. Admit you do not know. Then spend 10 minutes in silence, asking God for a strategy before you open your books today.
Prayer Point
Father, when the rules change, You remain the same. I refuse to panic. I refuse to be like the magicians who relied on false wisdom. Give me a strategy for this difficult course. Reveal what is hidden from my natural mind. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Am I trusting in my ability to figure it out, or am I trusting in God's ability to reveal it? Panic often shows that I am trusting in myself. Peace shows that I am trusting in Him.
