Finally, you swallow your pride, dig the instructions out of the trash, and start over. Daniel confessed that Israel had done something similar with God. God gave them a path for a beautiful and faithful life. He sent prophets to highlight what mattered. But the people threw the manual away. They wanted to build their nation their own way. The result was collapse. Many students treat the syllabus the same way. They glance at it on the first day and never look at it again. They guess what the professor wants. They write essays based on their feelings instead of the rubric. Then they are shocked when the table wobbles and the grade is a D. Academic excellence often begins with simple obedience. It is about reading the manual. Your professors are not trying to trick you. They have set the classroom expectations before you. If you humble yourself, read the instructions, and follow them daily, you will build stronger work. Do not make school harder than it has to be. Read the syllabus. Follow the rules. Walk the path.
