Ask until clarity comes

Daniel 12:6

James 1:5

Bible Reading

Daniel 12:6

6 One of them said to the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long until the fulfillment of these wonders?”

Have you ever sat in a lecture hall, completely lost, but afraid to raise your hand? You look around and assume everyone else understands the material. Pride tells you to stay quiet. Fear tells you that asking will make you look foolish. But look at Daniel 12:6. One of the heavenly beings asked the man dressed in linen, “How long until the fulfillment of these wonders?” He did not pretend to know what had not been revealed. He directed the question to the one who could answer. As a student, you need the same posture. Lacking knowledge is not a sin. It is one reason you are in school. Hiding your confusion, however, will block your progress. To pursue academic excellence, become a master of humble questions. Ask your professor. Visit office hours. Talk to a tutor. And take your deeper questions about your future, your timeline, and your struggles directly to the Lord. He stands above the river, and He is able to give you the clarity you need.

Action Point

Identify one specific topic in your current classes that confuses you. Write one clear question about it. Email your professor or visit office hours today to ask that question.

Prayer Point

Lord, thank You for inviting me to ask questions. Please break my pride and my fear of looking foolish. Give me curiosity, humility, and courage to seek the answers I need for academic excellence. Amen.

Reflection Point

What would happen to your grades this semester if you asked for help the moment you became confused, instead of waiting until the night before the exam?
