Lift your eyes from the laptop
1 A song of ascents. I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? 2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2Bible Reading
Daniel 12:5
5 Then I, Daniel, looked and saw two others standing there, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank.
Have you ever been so focused on a project that you forgot where you were? You lose track of time. You forget to eat. You stop noticing the people around you. Intense focus can help you study, but constant academic tunnel vision can become dangerous. In Daniel 12:5, Daniel had just received weighty information. Yet he paused and said, “Then I, Daniel, looked and saw two others standing there.” He lifted his eyes and noticed what God had placed around him. As a student, you are navigating the rushing river of education. It is easy to keep your head buried in your laptop. But God wants you to lift your eyes. He wants you to see the helpers, boundaries, and graces He has placed along the banks of your life. When you pause and notice His provision, your anxiety begins to quiet. You remember that the God who rules history is also able to guide your semester.
