1 “And I, in the first year of Darius the Mede, stood up to strengthen and protect him.
God loves you, and He knows that your university campus can feel like a spiritual and emotional battlefield. You may face pressure to conform, take ethical shortcuts, or elevate human reason above the Word of God. In Daniel 11, the prophet describes a terrifying season of deceit, pressure, and persecution. The enemy tries to abolish daily worship and corrupt people with smooth flattery. But right in the middle of that darkness, a beacon of hope appears: “But the people who know their God will firmly resist him” (Daniel 11:32). This is one of the great secrets of academic success. A high IQ is valuable, but knowing God is far more foundational. When you spend daily, intimate time with Jesus, you develop an unshakable spiritual backbone. You gain courage to say no to cheating. You gain peace to endure a failed exam without losing your identity. You refuse to worship the “god of fortresses”—academic prestige, intellectual pride, or human strength. Instead, you humbly rely on the Holy Spirit as your Helper. Do not lose heart when the semester gets hard. Know your God. Stand firm. Let Him refine you into a brilliant, faithful scholar for His kingdom.
