Bible Reading

Proverbs 4:21

21 Do not lose sight of them; keep them within your heart.

Where are your eyes? Are they wandering? Are they looking at the clock? Are they looking at the phone? Solomon says, “Do not lose sight of them; keep them within your heart.” Success requires a fixed gaze. You have to stay with the problem until you solve it. You have to stay with the textbook until the words make sense. Then you have to let the truth sink in. It is like planting a seed. You put it deep in the soil. If you leave the seed on the surface, the birds steal it. If your studying stays on the surface, stress can steal it. But if you plant it deep—if you truly understand it—it grows. It bears fruit. Keep your eyes focused. Keep your heart open. Let wisdom take root in the center of who you are.

Action Point

Write your top three academic goals on a card. Tape it to your bathroom mirror. Look at it every morning and evening. Keep it before your eyes.

Prayer Point

Father, I focus my gaze on You and the work You have given me. I plant Your wisdom in the soil of my heart. Let it grow into a harvest of excellence. Amen.

Reflection Point

Do I understand this subject, or have I only memorized it?
