The secret in the heart
11 I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You.
Psalm 119:11Bible Reading
Daniel 7:26-28
26 But the court will convene, and his dominion will be taken away and completely destroyed forever. 27 Then the sovereignty, dominion, and greatness of the kingdoms under all of heaven will be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will serve and obey Him.’ 28 Thus ends the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts troubled me greatly, and my face turned pale. But I kept the matter to myself.”
The vision was over. The beasts were gone. The fire had faded. Daniel was left alone with his thoughts. He was troubled. He was changed. But he did something crucial: he kept the matter to himself. He did not rush to post it. He did not rush to explain it away. He sat with it. He let the weight of the truth sink deep into his soul. In our fast-paced academic world, we rarely do this. We cram for the test and forget the material the next day. That is not excellence. Excellence requires digestion. It means taking truth—whether biblical truth or an important principle from your studies—and keeping it long enough for it to become part of you. The best students ponder. They let the matter shape their thinking. Do not just learn to pass; learn to be transformed.

Father, make me a deep thinker. Save me from superficial learning. Help me to treasure truth in my heart so I may grow in wisdom and stature.
Reflection Point
Am I a reservoir of wisdom or just a pipe that information flows through?
