People often say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result. Have you ever been guilty of academic insanity? You read the chapter once, highlight a few sentences, take the test, and get a D. The next month, a new test approaches. What do you do? Their city was in ruins. They were in exile. Discipline had fallen upon them. Yet they stubbornly refused to change their ways. They would not turn from their bad habits. They would not give attention to the truth. If you want exceptional student success, you must break the spell of stubbornness. If your current study routine is not producing growth, you must change it. Be honest. Stop highlighting passively and start making flashcards. Stop studying in your noisy room and move to a quiet library. Stop trying to figure it out alone and go to office hours. Do not let pride keep you locked in a cycle of failure. Humble yourself. Seek the truth. Change your methods, and you can change your grades.
