3 When I was a son to my father, tender and the only child of my mother,
We often think success requires us to be tough as nails. We think we must be unshakable, know everything, and never show weakness. But Solomon says, “I was tender.” His greatness began with a soft heart. In your studies, being tender means being teachable. It means admitting you need help. It means going to the writing center. It means raising your hand and saying, “I do not understand.” This is not weakness. It is the strategy of the wise. A tender heart absorbs the rain of knowledge. A hard heart repels it. Also remember this: you are loved. You are not just a student ID number. You are a child of the King. You are not alone when you study. Mentors can help you. Teachers can guide you. God cares for you. Walk in the confidence of a beloved son or daughter. Let that confidence settle your anxiety before the exam.
