25 Let your eyes look forward; fix your gaze straight ahead.
A laser can cut through steel. A light bulb can barely heat a room. What is the difference? Focus. A laser concentrates its energy on one point. Solomon wants you to be a laser. “Let your eyes look forward; fix your gaze straight ahead.” In a world of notifications, pop-ups, and side hustles, the student who can focus on one thing is powerful. They cut through difficult assignments. Do not let your eyes wander to what your friends are doing. Do not stare at the fun you are missing. Look at the book. Look at the goal. Look at the calling God has placed on your life. If you keep your eyes fixed on the destination, your feet will find the way. Be the laser.
Action Point
Try the 15-minute stare. Pick one task. Set a timer. For 15 minutes, look at nothing else. If you look away, reset the timer. Train your eyes to obey your will.
Prayer Point
Father, I align my vision with Your purpose. I refuse to look to the left or right. I have a destiny to fulfill, and I will not be distracted. Give me the focus of a laser for Your glory. Amen.
