15 Now, O Lord our God, who brought Your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and who made for Yourself a name renowned to this day, we have sinned; we have acted wickedly.
The human brain has a troubling habit of forgetting miracles. When the Israelites stood at the edge of the Red Sea, they panicked. They forgot the plagues God had used to rescue them. When they crossed the sea, they celebrated. But a few days later, they were out of water, and they panicked again. They forgot the Red Sea. We can do the same thing in our studies. You survived earlier academic challenges. You survived difficult exams. You survived hard projects. God gave you strength, provision, and the mental capacity to reach this moment. His mighty hand has been evident in your academic journey. But the moment you look at a new, intimidating syllabus, you may panic. You forget the Red Sea. Daniel refused to forget. In the middle of disaster, he anchored his prayer to the Exodus. He remembered the Lord “who brought Your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand.” He reminded himself of God’s track record. You must do the same. When you feel overwhelmed by a major research paper, stop. Put down your pen. Close your eyes. Remember the last difficult project you finished. Remember the grace God gave you. The God who helped you in the last season is the same God who will help you now. His hand has not lost its power. His wisdom has not diminished. Trust His faithfulness, confess your weaknesses, and watch Him part the waters of your current academic challenge.

Lord, forgive my spiritual amnesia. I forget Your miracles too quickly. Thank You for every exam I have passed and every project I have finished. Let the memory of Your mighty hand give me confidence for my studies today.
