Bible Reading

Proverbs 2:21-22

21 For the upright will inhabit the land, and the blameless will remain in it; 22 but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful will be uprooted.

Academics is a marathon, not a sprint. We see many people sprint off the line—cheating, partying, and cutting corners. They look fast. They look successful. But look again at the finish line. Who is still there? Proverbs 2:21-22 tells us who remains: "The upright will inhabit the land, and the blameless will remain in it." The word "remain" is powerful. It means you are still standing when the smoke clears. It means you survived the exams, the stress, the temptations, and the trials. You are the last one standing. Why? Because integrity gives you structural stability. When the storms of life hit, cheaters collapse because they have no foundation. The lazy are blown away. But the upright student—the one who built life on God's Word and honest work—stands firm. Do not worry about the speed of the wicked. Guard the stability of your soul. Plant deep. Be upright. You will remain.

Action Point

Write the word "REMAIN" on a sticky note and put it on your mirror. Remind yourself that your goal is long-term stability, not short-term shortcuts.

Prayer Point

Lord, grant me the grace to remain. Establish me in righteousness. Let me stand firm when others fall.

Reflection Point

Am I building for speed or for stability?
