Your intellectual bodyguard

Proverbs 4:6

12 For wisdom, like money, is a shelter, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of its owner.

Ecclesiastes 7:12

Bible Reading

Proverbs 4:6

6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will guard you.

Imagine walking down a dark alley. You would want a bodyguard. In the journey of life, ignorance is a dark alley. Poor choices are dark alleys. Mistakes are bandits. Solomon introduces your bodyguard: Wisdom. He says, β€œDo not forsake wisdom, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will guard you.” When you dedicate yourself to your studies, you are building protection for your future. Every book you read strengthens your defense. Every skill you master adds a tool to your hand. When the economy shifts, your skills protect you. When a problem arises at work, your knowledge helps you respond. But you must love wisdom first. You must prioritize your education. Do not cheat on wisdom with laziness. Do not forsake her for cheap thrills. Stay with her. The late nights, the practice, and the discipline are strengthening your protector. You will walk through life with confidence because you did the work.

Action Point

Think of a skill you have only partly learned. Maybe it is Excel, a foreign language, or a statistical method. Recommit to it today. Do not forsake it. Spend 20 minutes brushing up on it. Polish your shield.

Prayer Point

Father, thank You for the protection of wisdom. I choose to love truth. I will not quit. I will not bail out. I will finish this course. Let my knowledge become a wall of fire around my future. Amen.

Reflection Point

Do I view studying as a chore or as building protection for my future?
