The pen and the heart
3 It is clear that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
2 Corinthians 3:3Bible Reading
Proverbs 7:3
3 Tie them to your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.
There is a connection between the hand and the mind. When you write something down, you tell your brain, “This is important.” Solomon knew this. He said, “Tie them to your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.” In our digital age, we copy and paste. We screenshot. But we do not always bind. To bind requires effort. It requires friction. To succeed in school, you must engage the friction of learning. You must work the problems. You must write the essays. You must involve your whole self in the process of mental growth.
